The Applied Learning Workshop for the 11th Intake of the SGBC Green Mark Associate (GMA) Certification Course was held at the Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy SJ Campus on 31 October 2025, supported by SGBC Founding Member SJ Group as our Delivery Partner.
Within the confines of the high performance green building, learners dove deep into key green building concepts and case studies with lead trainer Ms Joy Gai before hearing from fellow Green Mark Associate Mr. Tsubasa Bolt from SJ on how the SJ Campus was envisaged, designed, constructed and maintained as a Green Mark Super Low Energy Building.
A key highlight of the workshop was a guided tour of the SJ Campus, featuring self-shading terraces, underfloor air distribution systems, rooftop gardens and more. The workshop concluded with a tabletop exercise and saw interesting ideas and concepts put to paper, many of which stemmed directly from the learning journey of the SJ Campus.
As a foundational-level programme for built environment professionals, the Green Mark Associate course provides a solid platform for further learning and development, while providing professionals – both new and existing – with the necessary skills and knowledge to grow their expertise in built environment sustainability.
