TreeGreen

SGBC congratulates our local green building projects CapitaGreen and Tree House for making it to the Finals of the World Green Building Council Asia Pacific Leadership Awards in Green Building 2016.

Selected by a jury from 29 nominations put forward by 11 green building councils in the Asia Pacific region, CapitaGreen (a commercial office building by CapitaLand) and Tree House (a condominium complex by City Developments Limited) will join three organisations and six other building projects in the Finals of these biennial awards, slated to be held in Mumbai, India in early October 2016.

CapitaGreen and Tree House were the Winners of the inaugural SGBC-BCA Sustainability Leadership Awards 2016 in their respective categories, and they represented Singapore in the WorldGBC Awards.

TreeGreen2

CapitaGreen is built as a tree of life in the Central Business District, with its distinctive red wind scoop and a host of other green building innovations in place to create a productive and conducive workplace for its tenants and occupants. Tree House, a verdant oasis along Chestnut Avenue, has the world’s largest vertical garden in addition to energy and water efficient fixtures incorporated into every apartment unit on the complex.

Their shortlisting as Finalists in the WorldGBC Awards is testament to the emphasis Singapore puts on green building, leading the way in sustainability. More information about the projects can be found here: http://www.sgbc.sg/events/awards
