Watch out for the breaking news happening in the industry and SGBC’s latest developments.

Mr Lee Chuan Seng, the founding President of the Singapore Green Building Council, will assume the role of Chairman of the National Environment Agency's (NEA) board of directors from 1 April 2019. He will succeed Mr Liak Teng Lit, who has been chairman of the NEA board since 1 April 2015.

Mr Lee was instrumental to the formation of SGBC back in 2009, putting in place operational frameworks and organisational structure that were crucial for a budding industry organisation. Working together with fellow SGBC Board Members, Mr Lee tirelessly advocated for green building technology and design, uplifting the profile of SGBC as the voice of the community and raising awareness of green building as the way forward. A decade on, Mr Lee still provides advice and counsel to the SGBC Board and Secretariat, helping to guide the Council's activities and programmes for the betterment of the built environment.
