To help local and international innovators looking to deploy innovative concrete solutions in Singapore, the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), in partnership with various stakeholders, has developed an eResource on the regulatory requirements and compliance standards for concrete properties and performance, along with information on available testing facilities.
This eResource is aligned with the Built Environment Industry Transformation Map in helping to drive more sustainable practices without compromising on safety and quality. This effort complements the Built Environment Decarbonisation Technology Roadmap, announced by Minister Chee Hong Tat at the SGBC Gala Dinner 2025. The roadmap will include a list of technologies and best practices to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings, including the embodied carbon of materials which can account for up to 30% of a building’s emissions.
With the eResource, innovators, building owners and developers would be better informed about developing and adopting low carbon building solutions.
The eResource can be downloaded here.
