This central question informs the latest issue of SG Green. Data centres have long operated in the background, quietly powering the platforms and services that define modern life. But today, they are recognised not only as mission-critical infrastructure but also as significant consumers of energy and water. In Singapore’s resource-constrained context, this places them at the intersection of two national imperatives: maintaining digital competitiveness and meeting ambitious climate targets.
