Lighting shapes our world. By harnessing efficient and intelligent design, we can better illuminate our spaces while building a brighter, greener future.
On 7 November 2025, more than 30 Green Mark Professionals (GMPs) visited the Signify Lighting Application Centre for one of our longest-running SGBC Learning Journeys to explore connected ultra-efficient lighting for green buildings. Structured against the sustainability badges of the Green Mark certification scheme, experts from Signify deftly covered how good lighting design and innovations can help buildings achieve the Maintainability, Intelligence, Health & Wellbeing as well as Low Carbon outcomes.
The highlight of the session was the walk through the Lighting Application Centre, taking in the multitude of lighting exhibits on display. From solar-powered street lighting to the systems that lit up the racetrack of the recent Singapore Grand Prix, our GMPs went home illuminated with keen insights on lighting for built environment sustainability.
