You agree that any personally identifiable information which you provide to us in registering for the event may be collected by us and used for various purposes, including without limitation:

1. To provide goods and services by us or our designated representatives, related organisations or
   business partners to you or parties designated by you and matters ancillary thereto;
2. To verify and process payment(s) connected to the event;
3. To verify and record your personal particulars and to use the information to communicate withyou;
4. To send you information, promotions and updates including marketing and advertising materials in
   relation to the event, and those of our affiliates and related organisations;
5. To conduct statistical and other analysis; and
6. To comply with any order of court or directive from authorities investigating any alleged offence, misdeeds and/or abuse or for the purpose of taking any legal action for breach of these terms and
   conditions.

Disclaimer

It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to change the content and timing of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue at any time prior to the event date.

We are not responsible for any errors, omissions and changes to the programme or content of the event.

We reserve the right to make changes as we deem necessary, desirable or expedient without penalty from you and in such situations no refunds, part refunds or alternative offers shall be made.

We reserve the right to update this Disclaimer and Terms & Conditions without notice to you.

We cannot control all content published or disseminated at the event. You may find other delegates’ or participants’ communications, graphics, audio files or other information inappropriate, offensive, harmful, inaccurate, dishonest or misleading and/or deceptive, however you alone are solely responsible for your interaction with other delegates and agree to act responsibly and exercise caution, common sense and safety while in attendance at SGBC Events.

We, our directors, employees, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims or expenses whatsoever arising out of or in connection to the event.

We are not responsible for issuance or accreditation of continuing professional development (CPD) points managed by other professional bodies. Indications of CPD point accrual on our marketing materials are estimates only, and always subject to issuance, and, further terms and conditions of the relevant issuing professional body.

Photography & Recording

You are advised that and acknowledge that we will not be responsible for your incidental inclusion within any photograph or recording.

Fees & Payments

Payment to attend the event must be made prior to the event starting, unless otherwise agreed with us. Payment is to be made in accordance to the payment method as directed by SGBC from time to time.

Cancellations & Refunds

Only cancellations and requests for a refund notified to us in writing via email three (3) working days prior to the event will be accepted and all fees refunded will be less any administration or other fees, taxes and charges incurred by us.

Cancellations received after the above deadline will not be accepted and will not be refunded. We will not refund travel or hotel costs, or any fees of joining as a member of SGBC.

SGBC reserves the right to refuse attendance to any attendees/ delegates who have not paid event or membership fees, taxes and charges in full.

Our liability in event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. We will not refund travel or hotel costs, or any fees of joining as a member of SGBC.

We accept no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond our reasonable control resulting from an act of God, governmental regulation, fire, war, terrorist activity or civil commotion.

Liability & Other Terms

We, our related organisations and content providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind occasioned from the reliance upon the contents contained in or available in connection with the event, the performing of any transaction or communication connected to the event and/or any inaccuracies, neglect, defects, errors, omissions, outdated information or otherwise.

We shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for loss of indirect or consequential loss however caused or arising).

“Our”, “us” and any word connoting a similar meaning shall refer to Singapore Green Building Council (UEN: T09SS0112H), and all its directors, servants, agents, and employees.
