This afternoon, we brought together SGBC members and Green Mark Professionals for a Lunch and Learn focused on kickstarting sustainability reporting and building a green edge for tenders. Powered by SGBC Member ESGpedia, the session addressed the increasing integration of sustainability requirements into procurement, tenders, and asset management across the built environment sector.
Led by ESGPedia’s Mr. Benjamin Tan, participants gained practical insights across four key areas:
- Generating audit-ready sustainability reports to meet client and tender requirements
- Calculating and tracking project-level embodied carbon
- Navigating Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
- Exploring sustainable finance pathways and financing options
The session featured real-world use cases from organisations across the built environment sector, from developers to manufacturers and logistics companies. These case studies demonstrated how digital sustainability tools have been successfully leveraged to enhance tender competitiveness and unlock new business opportunities.
A live platform demonstration and facilitated discussion groups on carbon footprint calculation enabled participants to engage directly with the tools and methodologies presented.
We were encouraged by the strong turnout and the quality of engagement from attendees. The question-and-answer segment reflected active interest in practical implementation challenges and next steps. Thank you to ESGpedia for partnering SGBC to deliver an informative session, and to all participants for your active participation.
