What to wear for Comfort at 25°C

Buildings account for over 20% of Singapore’s carbon emissions, and air-conditioning is a key contributor. That is why we can make a meaningful difference through sustainable cooling practices.

Since its launch in May 2025, the Go 25 national movement – led by the Singapore Green Building Council and the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Singapore, with support from the Building and Construction Authority Singapore and the National Environment Agency – has seen strong participation from over 200 private organisations and nearly all public sector premises. Pledged energy efficiency efforts now cover more than 17 million square metres of GFA, equivalent to roughly 188,800 4-room HDB flats.

To complement these efforts, SGBC launched the Go 25 Climate Appropriate Attire Guide (Office Edition) at the SGBC Awards Gala Dinner 2026 on 30 July 2026. Developed in collaboration with the Singapore Fashion Council, the Guide offers practical, research-backed advice on fabric selection, layering, and styling – from breathable materials like linen and Tencel to relaxed yet polished silhouettes suitable for Go 25 office environments. The Guide underscores a key principle: with thoughtful choices, comfort and professionalism can coexist effectively within Singapore’s climate.
