This afternoon, we hosted a SGBC Lunch & Learn exploring the future of data-driven building operations. Powered by our Founding Member, C&W Services Singapore, the session engaged more than 40 industry professionals on “Enabling Data-Driven Building Operations with Open Architecture BMS.”

A big thank you to our excellent speakers for sharing their expertise:

  • Mr. Tong Yong Kun from C&W Services Singapore kicked things off by setting the context on the key trends shaping real estate and facilities management, highlighting the growing demand for smarter, more connected, and energy-efficient buildings.
  • Ms. Connie Lim from Tridium deep-dived into how open platforms like the Niagara Framework® can break down silos, connecting diverse devices and operational data to enable more informed decision-making.
  • Mr. Nicholas Yee from Distech Controls showcased how T1L retrofit solutions are accelerating intelligent building transformation through cyber-secure IP networks, rapid auto-commissioning, and standards-based control strategies (including ASHRAE Guideline 36) — all without disruptive infrastructure replacement.

The key takeaway from the session? Open, connected, and sustainable building solutions are no longer just a “nice-to-have.” They are essential for unlocking operational efficiency, strengthening cybersecurity, and achieving long-term sustainability goals.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the vibrant discussions. We look forward to continuing the conversation on how we can collectively build a greener, smarter built environment.
