COP29 Singapore Pavilion: Realising our Shared Climate Vision Together

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) formally takes place from 11 to 22 Nov. 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This year’s annual climate conference aims to build on previous successes and enhance ambition and enable action in climate change mitigation. While many issues and topics will be on the table, key issues include:

✅ Global Stocktake (GST): Following up on the outcomes of the first GST from COP28, including the agreement to transition away from fossil fuels.

✅ Mitigation: Discussions on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to low-carbon economies.

✅ Finance: Mobilising financial resources to support climate action, particularly for developing countries.

✅ Capacity Building: Enhancing the capacity of developing countries to implement climate action.

In the face of a rapidly changing climate, the urgency to transform our ambitious visions into tangible outcomes has never been greater. Together with everyone at COP29, Singapore can play an important part in this pivotal movement, championing the shift from visionary ideals to concrete actions to shape a sustainable future for all.
