Powered by SGBC Founding Member Singapore Polytechnic, the three-hour learning journey explored how advanced digital technologies and national transformation initiatives can accelerate innovation and value creation in the built environment sector.
The session opened an extensive segment on 5G and AIoT applications at the SP 5G & AIoT Centre. Mr. Tan Chee Seng covered enterprise-grade 5G fundamentals and explained how 5G integrates with AIoT frameworks to enable intelligent, connected solutions — with live demonstrations and real-world use cases in smart construction, buildings, and facilities management showing how these solutions enhance productivity, safety and operational efficiency.
The programme concluded with a built environment Transformation segment led by Mr. Dennis Goh, contextualising these technologies within the national Built Environment Industry Transformation Map (ITM). ITM-aligned showcases illustrated how key thrusts — Integrated Planning & Design (IPD), Advanced Manufacturing & Automation (AMA), and Sustainable Urban Systems (SUS) — unlock business value across design, construction and facilities management.
Together, the learning journey gave participants both hands-on exposure to enabling technologies and a strategic understanding of sector-wide transformation — equipping them to take informed next steps in their digital and sustainability journeys.
