Reimagining Building Envelopes Through Integrated Solar Façades

SolarGy 7

This afternoon, we brought nearly 40 Green Mark Professionals and SGBC Member representatives for an SGBC Learning Journey focused on integrated solar façades. As Singapore pushes beyond its 2030 solar deployment targets, the session examined how building-integrated and building-attached photovoltaics (BIPV/ BaPV) can transform façades into energy-generating assets.

Led by SolarGy’s Managing Director Mr. Albert Lim, participants gained actionable insights across four key areas:

  • Integrated solar design innovation
  • SCDF compliance pathways and fire safety
  • Real-world product applications and actual project case studies
  • Commercial models supporting owner decision-making and BCA Green Mark ambitions

The guided innovation tour and showcase sparked spirited, meaningful exchanges between attendees and hosts, exactly what SGBC Learning Journey sessions aim to achieve.

We were delighted by the strong interest in this session, which reached full capacity shortly after registration opened. To ensure more industry stakeholders can benefit, we are actively working with SolarGy to schedule another session later in the year.

Thank you to the SolarGy team for hosting us, and to all participants for your active engagement and thoughtful questions.
