On 24 Sept. 2024, SGBC brought 40 SGBC Members and Green Mark Professionals on another edition of the SGBC Learning Journey to the Schneider Electric Singapore Innovation Hub. As the first brownfield mixed development to obtain the Green Mark Platinum (Zero Energy) certification, the 30-year-old building was retrofitted and maintained on the foundation of the four key pillars of being people-centric, resilient, hyper-efficient and sustainable.
During the session, experts from Schneider Electric, a SGBC Founding Member, walked participants through the strategies and technologies used to achieve the building’s certification, including the integration of technology and data analytics to optimise building performance and reduce energy consumption. The Schneider Electric team also covered microgrid control solutions, e-mobility, connected power distribution technology as well as the potential of battery energy storage systems towards enhancing built environment sustainability.
