Are our built environments ready for the future of urban sustainability?

This afternoon, we successfully wrapped a session of the enhanced version of the SGBC Learning Journey: 5G Advanced & AIoT for Built Environment Transformation, powered by and hosted at Singapore Polytechnic (SP). As part of Singapore’s ongoing digital and sustainability efforts, the session showcased how advanced digital frameworks act as core enablers for innovation, productivity, and value creation across the built environment sector.

Attendees gathered at the SP 5G & AIoT Centre to explore enterprise-grade 5G fundamentals and observed live demonstrations of intelligent, connected solutions reshaping smart construction, building systems, and facilities management.

Moving from technology to strategy, the Digital Building Innovation Centre anchored a focused segment for participants to examine how these emerging 5G and AIoT capabilities tie directly into the national Built Environment Industry Transformation Map (ITM), specifically driving progress across:  Integrated Planning & Design (IPD), Advanced, Manufacturing & Automation (AMA) and Sustainable Urban Systems (SUS).

Thank you to our Education Partner, Singapore Polytechnic and all industry professionals who joined us to gain actionable insights for their digital and sustainability journeys. Let’s continue to push the boundaries of technology to build a smarter, more resilient, and greener future.
