On the evening of 13 November 2024, the Finalists of the World Green Building Council Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards 2024 were honoured at a Gala Dinner hosted by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) in Bengaluru, India. As a key Regional Project of the WorldGBC Asia Pacific Network since 2014, the awards programme celebrate businesses leading by example, iconic buildings that showcase the best in green building design and performance, as well as inspiring female leadership across the region.
As Singapore’s nominations for the Awards, UOB and Bukit Canberra emerged as the Finalists for their respective award categories at the end of the awards deliberation period, which was exceptionally challenging this year due to the high number of nominations received.
Bukit Canberra, represented by DP Architects was honoured as one of three Finalists for the Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance – Institutional Projects category, with the project demonstrating green building excellence while being a conducive venue for community engagement and social cohesion.
UOB, for its emphasis on financing sustainability through its frameworks while also walking the talk for its own operations, was honoured as one of three Finalists for Business Leadership in Sustainability. UOB also emerged as the Winner from the three Finalists of the Business Leadership in Sustainability category, a sound testament to the financial institution’s continued focus, attention and dedication to building a sustainable future.
