As the building sector races to meet tougher performance and emissions targets, operational excellence is no longer a goal but a necessity. The key factor? Sustainability-driven integrated solutions that boost efficiency, cut costs, and futureproof operations.
SGBC Member ENGIE South East Asia led this afternoon a SGBC Learning Journey to the impressive FairPrice Hub. This session was an exemplary example of practical decarbonisation, showcasing how to enhance an existing, efficient facility with ready technologies.
The ENGIE and FairPrice Hub teams did not just think big; they implemented smart, including on-site solar panels, thermal energy storage and battery systems for renewable energy generation and resilience, smart energy monitoring systems for data-driven optimisation and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations to support the transition to e-mobility.
The key takeaway? True sustainability is not about one-off fixes. It is about layering complementary solutions that work together to deliver greater environmental and financial impact with minimal disruption.
