The Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) has formally introduced the new Board for the 2025 to 2027 term of office, led by Mr. Allen Ang as the 9th SGBC President. With a distinguished career in sustainability and green building innovation, Mr. Ang brings a wealth of experience and a bold vision to accelerate built environment sustainability in Singapore and beyond.
Mr. Ang, who is the Head of Green Building, Decarbonisation and Safety at City Developments Limited (CDL), an SGBC Founding Member, is a recognised pioneer in green building practices. As the new SGBC President, Mr. Ang will focus on three key priorities:
- Expand Green Building Practices to Occupants and Users: Mr. Ang will deepen engagement with occupants and end-users, placing wellbeing and environmental stewardship at the heart of a greener and healthier built environment.
- Strengthen Industry Collaboration: Mr. Ang will foster deeper partnerships with SGBC Members, government agencies, and international organisations to drive innovation and share best practices.
- Empower Green Professionals: Through enhanced training and education programmes, Mr. Ang aims to equip our growing pool of Green Mark Professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to lead the sustainability transformation.
