Exploring Market Opportunities in the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City

Since its establishment in 2009, the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City has made significant strides in urban development, ecological environment enhancement, smart city innovation, and industrial cluster growth. In the next decade, the vision for the Eco-City’s urban development is to continue consolidating the close relationship between China and Singapore, to establish a leading low-carbon smart city in China, to build an iconic city centre as well as to provide a high-quality working and living environment.

SGBC held on 24 April 2025 a virtual Info Session to explore market opportunities and support programmes, in partnership with the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co., Ltd. More than 100 attendees tuned in to find out more about the opportunities available for Singapore companies looking to venture into the Chinese market, as well as an overview of the latest developments in the Eco-City and potential areas for business opportunities.

Attendees also heard from the SUTD Eco-City Research and Innovation Centre (SERIC) on its functions and programmes to support Singapore Companies to explore and test-bed projects in the Eco-City, as well as SUTD’s cutting-edge research & innovation as well as SUTD’s vibrant start-up community.
