Lighting plays a vital role in designing environmentally responsible spaces and driving a greener and more sustainable future. On 20 Mar. 2025, SGBC led a group of Green Mark Professionals (GMPs) on a Learning Journey, supported by SGBC Member Signify, to learn about maximising the potential of light to achieve sustainability goals.
Experts from Signify shared key insights into ultra-efficient, long-life, and recyclable lighting solutions, as well as the science behind circadian lighting, smart IoT lighting sensors and systems, solar-based renewable energy outdoor lighting and sustainable materials. The learning journey also examined the role of lighting in supporting sustainability efforts and its connection to fulfilling Green Mark requirements.
