In-Person CPD Event
Air-conditioning and HVAC systems account for a substantial share of a building’s total energy consumption, particularly in Singapore’s hot and humid climate. Enhancing the efficiency of these systems is therefore one of the most impactful ways to reduce operating costs and carbon emissions, while meeting increasing stringent sustainability standards.
Delivered in collaboraiton with SGBC Member Armacell, this learning journey explores the critical role of thermal insulation in HVAC systems, focusing on how proper insulation design and implementation can significantly improve energy efficiency, indoor comfort, and sustainability in buildings.
Participants will gain insights into insulation materials, installation techniques, performance metrics, and compliance with green building standards. Through an on-site tour and knowledge-sharing session, attendees will discover how effective strategies—such as insulation, optimal thickness and material selection, as well as adherence to international standards—translate into measurable energy savings and long-term value.
Member-only, in-person networking event
As the year winds down and the festive spirit fills the air, it’s once again time for the legendary SGBC Christmas Celebration! This year, we will be embarking on a festive expedition to visit the inhabitants of the Southern Hemisphere – the penguins at Bird Paradise @ Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The SGBC Christmas Celebration will be held on 4 Dec. 2025 (Thursday) 5.30PM at the Penguin Cove Restaurant at Bird Paradise, located within the captivating habitat of our feathered friends.
Join fellow SGBC Members to cap off 2025 with warm conversations and festive cheer, all while observing charming penguins in an immersive dining experience. Each SGBC Member Organisation is eligible for two (2) complimentary passes, inclusive of entry, a festive dinner and a guided viewing tour of Penguin Beach (conditions apply).
