In-Person Event
Held as part of the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), ACES provides a common platform for regional thought leaders in both the public and private sector to collaborate on critical issues and opportunities in harnessing clean energy for the future.
In-Person Event
The Asia Pacific Conference on Built Environment (APCBE) is a prestigious biennial event organized by ASHRAE Region XIII – a part of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), specifically serving the Asia Pacific region. This region includes countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and more. ASHRAE Region XIII is dedicated to advancing the sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) to improve building performance, sustainability, and energy efficiency in the Asia Pacific region.
Since its inception in 1991, the conference has served as an essential platform for sharing insights, innovations, and best practices within the built environment. It brings together professionals and leaders across the construction, energy, and environmental sectors, aiming to shape a more sustainable future. APCBE 2025 will be held on the 6th and 7th of November 2025 at the One Farrer Hotel in Singapore, focusing on the theme of “Shaping a Sustainable and Healthy Built Environment.“
In-Person, Instructor-Led Course
Sustainability considerations have become key requirements in design and construction. The demand for low-carbon solutions has spurred radical innovation in materials and re-engineering of production processes. Central to the evaluation of building products and materials is its carbon footprint, of which the key means of quantifying and communicating carbon performance is through Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). EPDs provide a standardised way to assess and compare the environmental performance of materials and products across the lifecycle. At this SGBC Course, participants will gain a clear understanding of EPDs, including their structure, content, methodology and preparation; as well as acquire fundamental knowledge of life cycle analysis (LCA) to evaluate environmental impacts. There will be a practical demonstration of how LCA can be conducted and modelled effectively with software (SimaPro).
